According to reports, during the event, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission will coordinate all kinds of medical resources in the city, and go all out to do a good job in medical security for the Winter Olympics and Paralympics. The injured and sick will be accurately classified and treated.
 
“Ice and snow sports are high-risk sports, and athletes have a high probability of injury. Timely, scientific and effective medical treatment is a strong guarantee for the success of the Winter Olympics.” Wang Jianhui, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Health and Health Commission and spokesman, said that a total of 88 medical stations have been set up in the Heyanqing competition area, equipped with 1,300 venue medical security personnel and 74 venue ambulances to provide on-site medical treatment and the diversion and transfer of the wounded and sick.

In accordance with the requirements of the Winter Olympics epidemic prevention and control policy, the Municipal Health Commission, in collaboration with the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, divided the Winter Olympics casualties into confirmed and suspected patients with COVID-19, patients with fever symptoms within the closed loop, other wounded and sick within the closed loop, and patients with closed loops. There are 5 categories of patients with external fever symptoms and other wounded and sick outside the closed loop.

At the same time, Beijing adjusted and optimized the admission and treatment tasks of designated hospitals, and 18 designated hospitals implemented precise classification and treatment to avoid cross-flow of the wounded and sick with different risks. During the competition, more than 2,100 medical backbones in designated hospitals will provide timely and efficient medical services, and 60 municipal experts and 10 academicians will also provide high-level technical support.

In order to improve the ability of medical treatment, the designated hospitals have also formulated the “one hospital, one policy” medical security plan. For example, Yanqing Hospital of Peking University Third Hospital converted a 12,000-square-meter independent ward building into a Winter Olympics medical center, with 72 beds and related equipment and facilities; Beijing Anzhen Hospital vacated 104 beds and converted it into a special area for the Winter Olympics. A seamless green channel for the Winter Olympics and a closed loop for diagnosis and treatment have been built; Peking University People’s Hospital, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Beijing Shijitan Hospital, etc. have adjusted their hospital layout, set up special ward areas, and built a negative pressure hybrid operating room to provide effective medical treatment for the Winter Olympics. Assure.

Beijing has also built a 1,500-square-meter Beijing Winter Olympics Village General Clinic and a 1,658-square-meter Yanqing Winter Olympic Village General Clinic, equipped with 18 disciplines covering emergency, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, imaging, traditional Chinese medicine, and dentistry. Rehabilitation and transfer to hospital and other medical treatment work.

At present, both the Beijing Winter Olympic Village and Yanqing Winter Olympic Village general clinics have been officially opened, and medical staff from Xuanwu Hospital, Beijing Anzhen Hospital and other medical institutions have entered the clinics to meet the 16-hour basic outpatient and 24-hour emergency needs at any time.
