Peking University, May 9, 2022: Since China has entered the new era, the country and society have always paid close attention to youth development, placing earnest hope and trust in the young generation and expecting them to take on the mission of the times and play an important role in the future development of China. The Communist Party of China Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core cares for the young generation very much. They continuously put forward expectations and requirements for the youth and encourage them to showcase their brilliance in the changing world and the rise of the Chinese nation.

The young are the future of a society. As society is constantly developing, young people are bound to assume heavy responsibility. The country and society always require young people to be responsible for the country - that is, to have a national identity, which is the most important prerequisite for the development of the young generation. The development of youth is closely linked with the development of the country.
China's rapid development over the past four decades has provided a bigger stage, more opportunities and broader space for young people. It is the historical responsibility for the youth to advance together with the country and work hard for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. To take over the banner of their predecessors and forge ahead on the Chinese road is the requirement of the times for the youth.
Only by moving forward together with the people and keeping their own direction, will the youth have a bright future. They can start to make efforts in increasing their national identity. The recognition requires them to draw strength from the spirit of Chinese culture and grasp the direction of the future from the struggle of modern Chinese people, so that they can move forward with the country and its people. This is the basis of the ideals and beliefs that young people need: to have ideals and ambitions, to advance together with the development of the Chinese nation.
Youth is a force with unlimited possibilities. The country and society expect young people to have broad minds and excellent skills, as a foundation for undertaking the mission of the times. Living in a time with rapid social change, the young should broaden their vision, connect their struggle with the requirements of the era, and make real contributions to society and the country with a strong will of perseverance.
The firm commitment to making China strong requires the ability to truly contribute to the country and society. When the young generation undertakes its mission, it must have the strength and desire to meet the challenges of the future. China has high expectations for its young people, who must improve their abilities and constantly pursue more progress. A great era needs the contribution of the youth.
Young people are the most energetic and hopeful force. The country and society expect young people to make solid efforts and move forward with perseverance. People's reflections on some popular concepts among some young people, such as "lie flat," are actually a call for young people to have confidence and willpower. Young people are expected to make contributions and combine their personal development with social development, reflecting in their own life the needs of society and the hopes of the era.
The contributions made by many young people at the grassroots level, such as their efforts in poverty alleviation and their progress in ordinary work, are all part of their solid efforts. Making breakthroughs and striding forward require the young generation to show tenacity. A small step for the young generation will become a big step for China. They will also contribute to the progress of the world and humanity.
The future development of youth has always been at the center of national and social concerns. China has been working hard to solve problems for the youth and offer them a broader future. The country wants to provide more conditions for young people to go to school, start businesses, serve society, and live a smoother life, so that they can share more of the fruits of social development and make contributions to society. This provides them with better prospects and opportunities.
It is the expectation of the country and society that young people shoulder their responsibilities, live up to the nation's expectations, make their generation shine in line with the requirements of the new era, and make more contributions to the future of China.
