Biography:
Norman P. Ho is a professor at School of Transnational Law, Peking University (PKU STL). His research interests, broadly speaking, are in legal theory and history. More specifically, he writes in the areas of premodern Chinese legal theory and history, comparative jurisprudence, property theory and Asian-American jurisprudence. Before joining PKU STL, Prof. Ho practiced law in the law firms of Morrison & Foerster, and Slaughter and May based in Hongkong, focusing on capital markets, private equity, M&A transactions, as well as U.S. securities law compliance matters. He also previously taught as a lecturer at Faculty of Law, University of Hong Kong, and has served as a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Chinese Law (University of Hong Kong) and as a visiting associate professor and Asian Law Institute Visiting Fellow at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law. Besides, Prof. Ho received his Bachelor and Master degrees from Harvard University, and his J.D. degree from New York University School of Law, where he received the Howard L. Greenberg Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Comparative Law.
