Abstract:
In modern political theories, the discourse of patriotism was used to support national liberation and struggles for freedom. The discourse of nationalism occurred and began to spread in the late 18^th century with the aim to defend the unity on culture, language, and religion of a nation. The difference between patriotism and nationalism also appeared during the period of Italy’s fighting against fascism.
