The day kicked off with an exciting freshman Fun Run, taking participants on a scenic route around PKU, allowing them to embrace the beauty of the campus. The runners' enthusiasm, smiles, and energy were infectious.
In the competitive realm, athletes pushed their limits in various sporting events, such as track and field. In the Men's A Group 1500m, Aogu Kailin, a doctorate student from the College of Urban and Environmental Sciences, attributed his medal to seven years of dedicated training, boosting both his fitness and confidence, despite not feeling his best on race day. Among the inspiring stories was that of Chen Zhuoya, a doctorate student from the School of Integrated Circuits, who credited her increased self-confidence and improved physical fitness to consistent running. Another standout was Chen Zexian, a master's student from the School of Electronics, who led a team to victory in the recreational Rubik's Cube Challenge. Their achievements reflected personal growth and the importance of teamwork and cooperation.
The 2023 PKU Autumn Sports Festival was the perfect blend of athleticism, camaraderie, and creativity. It demonstrated that sports is not just about competition but also celebrates personal growth, friendship, and youth. Under the autumn sun, the event was a testament to the vitality and spirit of the PKU community.
