Peking University, Beijing, Dec. 10th, 2009: Peking University Law School held the 2010 New Year Gala in the Centennial Commemorative Hall on 7 p.m. of Dec. 7th. Wu Zhipan, Vice-Secretary of CPC PKU Committee, Prof. Zhu Suli, the dean of the PKU Law School, Prof. Gong Wendong and Shen Kui, the vice-dean of the PKU Law School, and Pu Wendan, Yang Xiaolei, Vice-secretary of CPC PKU Law School Committee, and some other professors attended the gala. In addition, more than 1,000 faculties and students were present at the gala. The famous CCTV host Sa Beining, a former student from PKU Law School, was invited to host the gala.

The New Year Gala began by Zhu suli’s speech. He briefly summarized the achievements made by PKU Law School in 2009. Then he brought best wishes to all the faculties of PKU Law School.

Wu Zhipan also presented a speech at Law School’s invitation. He conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to all the students and faculties. At the same time, he said that New Year Gala is a very good way to build a bridge of communication between faculties and students. Furthermore, he encouraged everyone to keep on working hard in the next year.

The content of the performance is both plentiful and creative with a super cast. A variety of performances, including singing, dancing, stage play and martial arts, pushed the New Year Gala to a climax.

The 2010 New Year Gala has received great support from all the faculties and students. The cooperation and preparation from the Youth League Committee of PKU Law School and the Student Union had contributed to the success of the New Year Gala.
