Visual Story: Peking University Summer Meet brings Olympic vibes and energy

Peking University, July 15, 2024: Recently, Peking University (PKU) hosted its 2024 Summer Meet, featuring three competitions: cross-country running, an outdoor water race, and a swimming competition. The event saw the participation of around 1,700 teachers, students, alumni, staff, and volunteers.
On June 23, the cross-country running kicked off in Chongli, a district of Zhangjiakou, which co-hosted the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Over 800 teachers, students, and alumni gathered to take on the mountains. Participants could choose from three events: the 23km mountain cross, the 10km mountain mini cross, and a parent-child experience race.
The outdoor water race took place on June 27 at the Shunyi Olympic Water Park in Beijing, with 125 students, teachers, and alumni registered to compete.
The swimming competition was held on June 28 at the Khoo Teck Puat Sports Complex at Peking University. Nearly 300 teachers, students, and alumni participated enthusiastically, enjoying the excitement and refreshment of the water events.
The Summer Meet offered unique experiences and left participants with unforgettable memories. The games provided a range of activities and personalized sports opportunities, a window for PKUers to demonstrate sportsmanship and tenacity.
