Peking University, April 29, 2025: May the force be with you. But this time, “may the force” refers to May the 4th, the anniversary of Peking University. Meanwhile the force is still on striking display as PKUers race ahead in a long-distance running event in commemoration of the institution's 127th birthday.

On April 27, 5400 runners charged their way along a 5.4-kilometer trail from Wu-Si Sports Field to Yuanmingyuan Park, covering iconic constructions in their path.

Starting in 2019, this running event has been held annually to commemorate the birthday of PKU and also the anniversary of the May Fourth Movement.

As the runners embark on this trail, they relive the fiery moments of the past, carrying forward an undying legacy celebrating the power of youth.
