Peking University, 7 September, 2021: On the morning of 31 August, Hao Ping, president of Peking University, led a delegation to visit China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). President Hao Ping met with Dai Houliang, chairman and party secretary of CNPC. Both parties exchanged views on strengthening school-enterprise cooperation, before signing the Strategic Cooperation Agreement.

Dai Houliang warmly welcomed Hao Ping and his delegation before introducing the company and its history. He stressed that CNPC regards innovation as the company’s first development strategy, and hopes that both sides will view the signing of this agreement as an opportunity to make use of their respective advantages and adhere to the “Four Comprehensives”.
In his speech, Hao Ping noted that CNPC is an important backbone state-owned enterprise, playing a vital role in ensuring national energy security and enhancing socio-economic development. PKU has obtained remarkable accomplishments in research and innovation throughout the years, and will work closely with CNPC to serve the national development strategy and create a new model for school-enterprise cooperation.
On behalf of both parties, Zhang Pingwen, vice president of PKU and Jiao Fangzheng, vice president of CNPC signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement, with Hao Ping and Dai Houliang as witnesses. Heads of relevant departments and functional departments at PKU and CNPC were also present.
