A glimpse into PKU
Since its founding in 1898, Peking University (PKU) has become one of

What does PKU offer?
Academic rigour - Peking University has invested heavily in traditional
disciplines, as well as in emerging interdisciplinary fields such as
biochemistry engineering, bioinformatics, and AI. Development of both
the fundamental sciences and advanced interdisciplinary subjects have
flourished at PKU.
Research and innovation - As a research university excelling in the
field of fundamental scientific research, PKU has strengthened its
provision of mathematics, physics and chemistry education. At the same
time, PKU emphasizes innovation in the new age, and seeks to bolster its
interdisciplinary frontier through a push for "Emerging Engineering".
Institutes like the Frontiers Science Center for Nano-optoelectronics
and the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center of Genomics helm PKU's march

World-class faculty - As of 2021, the PKU faculty hosts 93 members of
the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), 26 members of the Chinese Academy
of Engineering (CAE), and 30 members of the Third World Academy of
Sciences (TWAS). Students at PKU are promised a comprehensive and
prestigious academic education that will shape their lives in academia
and beyond.

The lecture series "PicK yoU: Choose Your Story" will take place from 4
December to 14 December 2021. This event provides admission information
for international students, to allow potential applicants to find out
more about PKU' s various faculties and their academic highlights,
including Emerging Engineering, Advanced Agricultural Sciences and
Medical Science.
The lectures will introduce postgraduate enrollment for international
students, with a focus on general information on admission details like
application requirements, application procedures for international
students, and scholarships. Prominent experts and scholars, program
officers, and outstanding student representatives will be giving the
lectures online in English.
