Professor Xie Tao named as 2021 ACM Fellow

Peking University, January 24, 2022: Xie Tao, chair professor of the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science, Peking University has been named as Fellow of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) for his great contributions to software testing and analytics on January 19, 2021. Noted that Professor Xie has been named as IEEE Fellow in 2018, AAAS Fellow in 2019, and CCF Fellow in 2021, he has been the second one worldwide to be listed by the four top associations in this field.

 
Professor Xie Tao

The ACM Fellows program recognizes the top 1% of ACM Members for their outstanding accomplishments in computing and information technology and/or outstanding service to ACM and the larger computing community. The contributions of the 2021 Fellows run the gamut of the computing field, including cloud database systems, deep learning acceleration, high performance computing, robotics, and theoretical computer science. Two years earlier, Professor Xie Tao’s brother, Xie Yuan, professor of UC Santa Barbara, chief scientist of T-Head Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and adjunct professor of Peking University, was named as ACM Fellows, making him one of the few to be simultaneously named by IEEE (2014), AAAS (2019) and ACM Fellows.
