Peking University, June 7, 2022：With the COVID-19 pandemic not over and as the summer vacation approaching, Peking University (PKU) is offering a free drop-off service from each campus to main airports and railway stations in Beijing for students to return home safely. The drop-off service will be available from May 28 to June 1.

A total of four lines have been set up for this warm-hearted drop-off service, with three shifts running around the clock all day. The service hour is from 5 am to 3 pm, with the first shuttle bus leaving the campus at 5:30 am. The shuttle goes from the departure point of each campus directly to the station or the airport, minimizing social contact and ensuring safety. Students can make an appointment through the online reservation system. If students need to carry large luggage, the luggage cart service is also available.


Before each bus departures, security staff and teachers will perform careful preparations and be on the site to maintain order. The preparation work includes the driver's health check, vehicle disinfection, epidemic prevention material preparation, riding emergency plan drill. Students will be guided to take temperature checks, have health codes checked, hands disinfected, and protective equipment confirmed before boarding the bus,


Every student will receive an epidemic prevention gift bag, including N95 masks, disinfection wipes, and other protective materials, as well as customized postcards, customized luggage tags, PKU key rings, and other souvenirs.


The PKU free warm-hearted shuttle bus service, operated by the Student Affairs Department, has been running for several consecutive semesters since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.


As the final season approaching, the university sincerely hopes that all the students will be healthy, safe, and successful in their studies and life, as well as that they will enjoy a fulfilling summer vacation before returning to school.
