Young Orthopedist of PKU Third Hospital Wins the 5th AO TRAUMA Paper Merit Awards

Peking University, June 13, 2022: On May 28, 2022, the 5th AO Trauma Asia-Pacific (AOTAP) Scientific Conference was held online. Five young doctors from the Department of Orthopedics of Peking University Third Hospital (PKUTH) including Lv Yang, Xu Xiangyu, Gao Shan, Fan Jixing and Liu Bingchuan, were qualified to participate in the conference, sharing cases and delivering special reports.
A top conference in the field of orthopedics in the Asia-Pacific region, the AO Trauma AP Conference is hosted by the AO Trauma AP Regional Committee every two years. A total of 18 countries and regions participated in this year’s conference and contributed more than 600 papers. After careful selection, a total of 60 papers entered the final round of the awards. Dr. Lv Yang made a special report on the topic of "Treatment Strategies for Intertrochanteric Fractures Combined with Internal and Posterior Fracture fragments", which triggered a heated discussion at the conference. Rated by judges from various countries upon his report, Dr. LV Yang stood out from many competitors and eventually won the "Paper Merit Awards", becoming the only doctor in Chinese Mainland to win the award at the conference.
