The "Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Prosthodontics " Launched

Peking University, June 9, 2022: On May 26, 2022, the "Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Prosthodontics", one of the first batch of virtual teaching and research offices established by the Ministry of Education of China, held online a kick-off meeting and the first plenary session. The meeting was presided over by Zhou Yongsheng, professor at Peking University School of Stomatology and discipline director of the virtual teaching and research office. Fifteen teaching and research offices of prosthodontics from 14 universities across the country took part in the meeting.

This virtual teaching and research office is composed of 15 prosthodontics-related teaching and research offices and departments in 14 colleges and universities, including the Prosthodontics Teaching and Research Office of PKU School of Stomatology (as the leading unit), one virtual simulation teaching and research office, and 13 teaching and research offices from institutes in China’s northeast, central and western regions and border areas. It covers most of the prosthodontics teaching and research officesand majors in colleges and universities of stomatology in China’s central and western regions and border areas. The Virtual Teaching and Research Office is supported by the national key clinical specialty of prosthodontics of Peking University and the national first-class undergraduate courses. The Virtual Office boasts a strong faculty, who are backbone teachers and discipline leaders from various colleges and universities, representing the mainstay of prosthodontics in China.

During a speech at the meeting, Professor Zhou Yongsheng pointed out that all members of the Virtual Teaching and Research Office should make full use of this advantage and make concerted efforts according to the requirements of the Ministry of Education, so as to innovate the teaching and research methods, promote the excellent teaching resources Prosthodontics nationwide, deepen the popularization of advanced teaching resources, and further enhance the homogenization and high-quality development of the discipline and courses of prosthodontics in China.
