Peking University, July 3, 2023: City University of Macau Vice Rector Kong Fanqing, Ye Guiping, and Assistant Vice Rector Zhu Delin, among others, paid a visit to Peking University on June 27, 2023. The delegation was warmly received by the Vice Chair of Peking University Council Ning Qi at Linhuxuan. The representatives of the two universities engaged in comprehensive discussions in matters pertaining to talent exchange and campus digitization.

In welcoming the visiting delegation, Ning highlights the close ties between PKU and the tertiary institutes in China’s Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) and expresses that there is great potential for further cooperation between both parties. Ning believes that Macau takes on a key role in the opening-up of China’s education sector, and hopes for both parties to deepen existing cooperation in academic development and youth exchange.

Kong expresses her confidence in the City University of Macau’s academic performance in both humanities and science. Given the rapid developments made by the university in recent years, she is optimistic that further cooperation between the two universities would yield fruitful results.

The directors of both universities’ IT departments also engaged in discussions with regard to the development of school networks, support for online learning, and cyber security issues. Meanwhile, discussions on building campus culture, improving exchanges between the two schools, and student social practice were also carried out.

Following the meeting, the delegation was given a campus tour, while representatives from various student-led organizations from the City University of Macau held joint seminars with their PKU counterparts.
