Peking University, June 5, 2026: Gu Jiafeng, a research fellow at Peking University's Institute of Social Science Survey, recently won the Springer Nature Editorial Contribution Award, which is part of the academic publisher's Editor of Distinction Awards 2026. He was recognized for his outstanding contributions as a member of the editorial board of the journal Humanities and Social Sciences Communications. 
 


The award honours journal editors for "meticulous assessment of submissions and rigorous management of the peer review process, safeguarding the scientific accuracy of the published record," according to the official website. Gu's award is a testament to his professional expertise and dedication to academic quality control and editorial services.

In its award announcement, Springer Nature commended Gu's "inspiring dedication to the academic publishing community" and the vital role he plays in "the advancement of knowledge and discovery by expanding the journal's network, supporting authors, and advocating for community interests." Gu's award not only highlights his individual editorial contributions, but also showcases Peking University's active engagement in global academic publishing.
