Peking University, June 22, 2026: On June 14, Peking University's women's basketball team captured the women's title at the 8th Asian University 3x3 Basketball Championship with a series of impressive performances against some of the region's strongest university teams.
Represented by Wu Xianglin, Li Meitong, Wang Jiahui, and Wang Yidi, the team delivered a composed and consistent performance throughout the tournament, overcoming strong competition to reach the top of the podium.

The championship is the premier university 3x3 basketball competition in Asia and serves as a regional qualifier for the University World Cup 3x3 Basketball. This year's event brought together teams from nine countries and regions, including China, Iran, Thailand, Singapore and Mongolia. Its demanding schedule and high standard of play tested the team's tactical flexibility, resilience, and ability to perform under pressure.
PKU progressed steadily through the group stage, combining smooth transitions with disciplined defense and effective teamwork. In the knockout rounds, the players remained composed against opponents with a range of playing styles, responding to physical pressure with determination and executing their game plan effectively.
In the final, Peking University faced Huazhong University of Science and Technology in a fast-paced and closely contested match. The PKU players maintained their focus during the decisive moments, producing efficient attacking play and tenacious defense to secure a 21–16 victory.
