Bidding for the hosting of the WinterOlympics is one of the major decisions of the state council, and is also one more great chance for the 1.3 billion Chinese people to embrace the Olympic games. This success in bidding is a positive confirm of the contribution Chinese people have made to the Olympic games. And it is also a great opportunity for China to show the world its spirit of unity and promote friendship with people all over the world. The delegation took great efforts in the bidding, which is also a role model of determination and dedication for our fellow students. This success is a great inspiration for Peking University on its way to a world-class university.
Peking University had former experience and close relationship with the Olympics, and contributed to the table tennis games and volunteering work during the 2008 summer Olympics. The successful bidding of the right to hold the Winter Olympics is the start of the coming up preparation works. Peking university will again make new contributions to the 2022 Winter Olympics.
