PKU delegates attend Princeton Interactive Crisis Simulation 2012

Peking University, Feb. 23, 2012: The 9th annual Princeton Interactive Crisis Simulation Conference (PICSIM) was held in Princeton University, U.S.A. from February 23 to 26. Former Inspector General of the Central Intelligence Agency, Frederick Hitz, an honored guest, delivered the keynote speech of the event. The conference was also attended by around 100 students from distinguished universities around the world such as Peking University, Princeton University, United States Military Academy at West Point, Duke University, National University of Singapore and many others.

 

 

 

Princeton Interactive Crisis Simulation Conference (PICSIM), which mainly focuses on international key issues, is organized by the International Relations Committee of Princeton University. Founded in 2004, PICSIM has drawn scholars from well-known universities all over the world. Peking University delegation has been invited to this prestigious conference for the past three years. This year, under the guidance of the Association of Sino-US Exchange (ASUSE), the eight delegates were selected from the School of International Studies, School of Foreign Languages, Department of Philosophy, etc. 

 

PICSIM by Princeton University is more modern and professional than similar activities conducted by its peers, and has been hailed the best and most realistic collegiate crisis simulation in the United States. Under the guidance of the seasoned staff of the Princeton International Relations Council (IRC) and through interaction and communication between the delegates in handling simulated crisis situations, policy decisions are made through close corporation.

 

The focus of this year's PICSIM conference is North Africa, providing a platform for scholars and teachers to extensively interact, discuss and exchange views over this event, allowing for the combined effort to build a more peaceful and harmonious world.
