Peking University, June 8, 2012: The 48th Annual Meeting of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) was held in Chicago from June 1 to 5.
Professor Guo Jun from Beijing Cancer Hospital (Peking University Cancer Hospital), an expert in kidney cancer and melanoma, delivered a speech on the Melanoma Panel on June 4, reporting his research about the Malignant Mucosal Melanoma. According to Guo, the cancer can be better treated by adjuvant chemotherapy than interferon therapy.

In the following discussion section, Professor Lynn M. Schuchter from the Presbyterian Medical Center at the University of Pennsylvania spoke highly of Guo’s breakthrough research, regarding it as the world’s first relevant clinical research.
