Peking University, Aug. 19th, 2013: The winners of the 9th Honorary Teacher Award for all University faculty members in Beijing have been announced. Four Peking University faculty members, Professor Dong Zhiyong from School of Economics, Professor Niu Jun from School of International Studies, Professor Wang Yun from Health Science Center and Professor Li Yan from College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering are on the list.
To win this award, candidates have to be assessed on different aspects, including classroom performance, experts’ review and feedback after the online publicity, etc.
The Honorary Teacher Reward aims to enhance the quality of teaching in universities, favoring those who attach great importance to the first-hand teaching experience and who deliver effective instructions to students. Up till now, there are 17 national and 62 Honorary Teacher winners at Peking University pioneering in the research of teaching.
