Peking University, September 28, 2023: Recently, the 2023 Asia-Europe Expo · International Forum on Education was held at the Xinjiang International Convention & Exhibition Center in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. 

On behalf of Peking University, one of the organizers of the "Medical Higher Education and Technology Innovation Sub-forum," Wang Jiadong, vice president of Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC), and Liu Hong, director of PKUHSC Education Department, delivered special speeches on "Medical Technology Innovation" and "Medical Higher Education" respectively. 

  
Wang Jiadong talked about several aspects pertaining to the innovation on medical technology, including its significance, the overall thinking of medical technology innovation at PKU Medicine, and the achievements PKU has made in the field in recent years.


Liu Hong, combining the development process and excellent traditions of PKU Medicine and focusing on PKU Medicine’s education model and educational reform, introduced the institution’s exploration and efforts in “clinical medicine+ X” so as to meet the requirements of the times and facilitate the development of medical education.

Participants of this forum hailed from seven universities in five Central Asian countries and ten domestic universities. The presidents and experts of domestic universities, together with their foreign counterparts from countries including Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Thailand, delivered speeches and shared their institutions’ achievements. The discussions achieved multiple results in international education and technological cooperation and exchanges.
