Peking University, March 12, 2024: Recently, Dr. ADEL KHADER ABDULLA AYED, former dean of the Faculty of Medicine and professor of surgery at the University of Kuwait, Dr. DHERAR S A ALSHEHAB, director of thoracic surgery at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital of Kuwait, and Dr. YOUSEF A.A.A.ALEID from Kuwait Chest Hospital, visited Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC). Qiao Jie, executive vice president of PKU and president of PKUHSC, met with the delegation.
 
The two sides had fruitful discussions on such topics as medical student exchanges, undergraduate clinical internships, resident physician training, and cooperation in talent cultivation at various stages.

During their stay, the delegation also visited Peking University Cancer Hospital, Peking University Medical Library, and Peking University Third Hospital Institute of Medical Innovation and Research.

The exchanges with Kuwaiti colleges and universities in the field of medical education serve as a proactive measure to promote health cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and help build a community with a shared future in health.
