Higher Education Commission of Pakistan delegation visits Peking University

Peking University, April 27, 2024: A Pakistani delegation, including representatives from the country's Higher Education Commission (HEC) and professors from leading universities, visited Peking University (PKU) on April 25, 2024.
Led by Prof. Dr. Zia ul Qayyum, executive director of the HEC, the delegation visited the PKU School of Foreign Languages, where they attended a lecture on the development of Chinese higher education. The lecture was organized by the Peking University Pakistan Study Centre.
During the visit, the HEC delegates engaged in discussions with Peking University faculty and administrators, exploring potential collaborative research projects, academic cooperation, and other matters of mutual interest.
The visit of the Pakistani academicians was organized under the auspices of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor University Alliance. The goal of the information and skill sharing was to improve academic settings, promote cross-cultural understanding between the two countries, and advance knowledge.
The delegation had the opportunity to learn more about China’s academic programs, cutting-edge research projects, and creative approaches to higher education. The exchange was hoped to benefit the promotion of academic excellence and the improvement of Pakistan's higher education institutions.
HEC Pakistan's visit to Peking University demonstrates a commitment to global cooperation in education and establishes the framework for successful partnerships that will benefit scholars, students, and societies in both nations.
