Chey Institute President Kim Yoosuk Visits Peking University to Deepen Academic Ties

Peking University, July 8, 2025: On July 3, 2025, Kim Yoosuk, President of the Chey Institute for Advanced Studies, visited Peking University, where he was received at Linhuxuan by President Gong Qihuang and Vice President Wang Bo. 

During the meeting, President Gong extended a warm welcome and provided an overview of the upcoming 2025 Beijing Forum. He noted the Forum’s growth since its founding in 2004, noting its transformation into a leading platform for international academic dialogue. 

President Gong emphasized how the Forum continues to bring together distinguished scholars and global thought leaders, contributing to the advancement of intellectual exchange across Asia and the global academic community.

In response, President Kim expressed his gratitude for the invitation and conveyed his best wishes for the success of this year’s Forum. He reaffirmed the Chey Institute’s longstanding partnership with Peking University, and expressed his hope that the visit would open new avenues for deeper academic collaboration in the years to come.

The meeting concluded with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement for the 2025 Beijing Forum, alongside a donation agreement. Representatives from relevant departments and schools of Peking University were also in attendance.
