Peking University, September 11, 2025: Yoan Vilain, Vice-Provost for International and European Affairs at Humboldt University of Berlin, led a delegation to Peking University (PKU) on September 8 to explore deeper cooperation amid the 40th anniversary of partnership between the two universities.
Warmly welcoming Mr. Vilain and his delegation, Fang Fang, Vice President of PKU, highlighted the fruitful outcomes borne out of the long-standing ties between the two universities. He then expressed an anticipation of a renewal of their cooperation agreement, and also a hearty invitation for more cultural exchanges with PKU.
Mr. Vilain expressed gratitude for PKU’s hospitality and spoke highly of the achievements of the two universities’ collaboration since their partnership began in 1986. He put out a call for more German students to come to study in China and jointly advance innovative projects as part of an effort to broaden this partnership.
The exchange marks a renewed commitment by both institutions to fostering intellectual collaboration and civilizational dialogue between China and Germany.
