Peking University, October 23, 2025: Vincent Michelot, Vice President of the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS de Lyon), an elite French higher education institution, led a delegation to Peking University (PKU) on October 13, aiming to expand bilateral academic cooperation amid warm China-France relations. The delegation was received at Linhuxuan by Fang Fang, Vice-President of PKU.



Fang Fang noted that in recent years, the thriving China-France relationship and people-to-people exchanges have created significant opportunities for practical collaboration between both institutions. Given the long-standing partnership in French language instruction and academic exchange, he proposed further collaboration in areas such as scientific research, youth development, and emerging interdisciplinary fields.

In response, Michelot outlined ENS Lyon’s distinctive strengths in both the sciences and humanities, as well as its focus on cultivating top-tier educators and fostering cross-disciplinary research. He also remarked that PKU is an important partner for ENS Lyon, and hopes to deepen cooperation in fields such as education, humanities and social sciences, and teacher training in the future.
