Vice President of the Technical University of Munich Visits Peking University to Boost Cooperation

Peking University, Dec 15, 2025: Juliane Winkelmann, Vice President of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), led a delegation to visit Peking University (PKU) on December 9, in a push for broader cooperation.

Fang Fang, Vice President of PKU, welcomed the guests and highlighted the burgeoning academic and people-to-people exchanges between the two institutions in recent years. He expressed PKU’s readiness to expand cooperation with TUM in new engineering disciplines, life sciences, business administration, and other fields, while continuing to strengthen faculty and student exchanges and joint student training, advancing the partnership to new heights.

Winkelmann thanked PKU for its warm hospitality and introduced Germany’s efforts in a new round of top universities assessment and TMU’s latest development.

She emphasized that TUM highly valued its partnership with PKU, noting the broad prospects for collaboration, before expressing anticipation for deepening research cooperation and people-to-people exchanges to jointly advance the development of both institutions.

During the visit, the delegation also toured the Peking University Health Science Center and the School of Life Sciences, engaging in discussions to advance cooperation in relevant fields.

Looking ahead, PKU and TUM will build on this visit to deepen collaboration in key fields, strengthen joint research and exchanges, and advance their partnership to a new level.
