Peking University Delegation Visits Brunei, Malaysia and Thailand

Peking University, June 9, 2026: A Peking University (PKU) delegation led by Vice President Fang Fang visited Brunei, Malaysia, and Thailand from June 2 to 6, as part of efforts to deepen ties with ASEAN higher education institutions.

In Brunei, Fang Fang attended The 6th ASEAN University Network for Technology-Enhanced Personalized Learning (AUN-TEPL) Symposium hosted by Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). The delegation also met with UBD representatives to discuss expanding student and faculty exchanges and collaboration in engineering, management and artificial intelligence.

The PKU delegation attended the 6th ASEAN University Network for Technology-Enhanced Personalized Learning (AUN-TEPL) Symposium.

In Malaysia, the delegation visited the University of Malaya and Sunway University, where discussions focused on institutional partnerships, joint research initiatives, scholar exchanges and talent development in global health and sustainable development.

In Thailand, Fang Fang met with leaders of Chulalongkorn University to review existing cooperation and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration in graduate education, academic exchange and research. The delegation also attended a board meeting of the Confucius Institute at Chulalongkorn University.

The visit reinforced PKU’s partnerships with universities and organizations across ASEAN and underscored its commitment to promoting educational innovation, research collaboration and people-to-people exchange in the region.
