Peking University, June 13, 2026: On June 10, a delegation from Türkiye’s Middle East Technical University (METU), led by Rector Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, visited Peking University (PKU) to deepen collaboration in research, engineering, technology, and joint education programs.
PKU President Gao Song, joined by Vice President Fang Fang, welcomed the delegation at Linhuxuan. Gao highlighted PKU’s long-standing commitment to ties with Turkish institutions and the solid foundation built through regular academic exchanges. He expressed hope for expanded cooperation in joint research platforms, engineering innovation, and people-to-people exchanges.
Yozgatlıgil thanked PKU for the warm reception, emphasizing that universities serve as bridges connecting academia, research, and industry. He reaffirmed METU’s strong interest in deepening ties with PKU, particularly in joint research and training programs.
Following the meeting, the delegation toured labs at PKU’s School of Mechanics and Engineering Science and the School of Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics.
