Peking University, Oct. 22, 2012: A delegation led by Richard Attias, the organizer of Doha Goals Forum, visited Peking University (PKU) on Oct.17. Deputy Director of Office of International Relations, PKU, and Beijing Forum Secretary-General, Yan Jun received the guests in Luce Pavilion.
Yan expressed his welcome to the delegation and spoke highly of Doha Goals Forum. He pointed out that with the improvement of education and research standards in recent years, PKU, as a comprehensive university with a long history, has enhanced its reputation around the world and “PKU is honored to be the only university in China invited to involve in Doha Goals Forum”.
21 students from the Affiliated High school of PKU are invited to participate in this forum.
“Doha Goals Forum aims at providing a platform for sports decision-makers, business elites, non-governmental organization (NGO) managers as well as student representatives worldwide to exchange their ideas”, said Mr. Attias. He also hoped the PKU participants would bring unique perspectives on behalf of their own group and make their contribution to the forum.

Richard Attias, the current executive chairman of Richard Attias & Associates (RAA). RAA is a U.S. based global communication and strategic consulting company with offices in New York, Paris, Rabat, Dubai, which supports government and non-governmental organizations worldwide. Attias also set up the World Economic Forum and is the co-founder of Clinton Global Initiative. Besides, Attias is the founder as well as chairman of New York Forum. He is now preparing for the Goals Forum which will be held in December 2012 in Qatar. PKU will send students to attend the forum.
