Peking University, Nov. 2, 2011: Recently, Professor Nitin Nohria, Dean of Harvard Business School (HBS), and his delegation visited Guanghua School of Management (GSM), Peking University (PKU). PKU President Zhou Qifeng extended welcome to them in the welcoming breakfast. Professor Nohria said that this trip to "China's Harvard" was exciting. Cai Hongbin, Dean of GSM, and Xia Hongwei, Director of Office of International Relations, also attended the meeting.

The two sides shared their experience in university management. In their talks they found that these two top business schools shared common values in many aspects, especially in determination to become internationalized and in focuses on innovation and social practices. Professor Nohria said that in the context of economic globalization, Harvard Business School needed to provide more opportunities to broaden students’ horizon to help them better understand worldwide business practices and the emerging of new markets. Professor Cai agreed on this view, introducing GSM's efforts on internationalization and its roles in assisting domestic companies in going out and promoting overseas entrepreneurs' understandings of China's markets.
Moreover, the pair discussed specific matters such as the integration of each other's resources to build a better study environment. They also expressed their unanimous hope for deeper cooperation. In the end, Prof Nohia extended his invitation to President Zhou and Professor Cai to pay a visit to Harvard.

So far, GSM has exchange programs with 92 famous universities all over the world, providing platforms for international communication for GSM's faculty members and students. Meanwhile, programs for senior managers are also held in cooperation with Harvard Business School, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Said Business School of Oxford University.
